THE NEMESIS AUDIOBOOK IS OFFICIALLY R.E.A.D.!
Nemesis Audiobook: It’s Officially R.E.A.D.!
I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—Nemesis, the audiobook, is officially R.E.A.D.! Yes, R.E.A.D. stands for Recorded, Edited, Approved, and Delivered. It’s our version of the old movie term, WRAP which, if you may or may not know originated in the 1920s and simply means filming is finished! It’s been used by directors ever since to signal the end of a shoot. 🎬 Some people say it stands for “Wind, Reel, and Print”, but that’s likely not true. The phrase “wrap it up” meaning “finish” was already around, so it likely came from that.
But anyway, I digress! Since we’re not filmmakers, we had to create our own term. And so, the concept of being “R.E.A.D.” was born. It’s our way of celebrating the completion of a project that’s been both challenging and rewarding.
The audiobook is now in the hands of the gods—Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. We’re hoping it will be released before the end of the year, but the exact timeline is out of our control. Fingers crossed! In the meantime, how do you fancy a sneak peek at the prologue?

The Journey Behind the Audiobook
This has been a long road. Nemesis was written back in early 2024, and here we are at the end of the year, finally wrapping up the audiobook. Most authors would have moved on to their next project by now, but with Nemesis, it was important for me to stay fully involved.
Producing an audiobook is a costly, complex, and time-intensive process—especially for someone like me, with my obsessive attention to detail (Yes OCD freakness, anyone?). But it’s vital to me that the audiobook is not just a retelling of the book but a fully immersive experience.
When you listen to Nemesis, I want you to feel like you’re right there with Marco—experiencing the terror, tension, and twists alongside him. The sound design has been carefully crafted to bring the characters, settings, and atmosphere to life. From the howling winds to the eerie silences, every element has been designed to pull you into the story.
We even tested the audiobook on beta listeners, and I’m thrilled to report that they were suitably terrified. Their feedback confirmed that the immersive sound design was doing exactly what we hoped—transporting listeners into Marco’s world.
Why Not Catch Up on the Series?
If you’re new to the Haunted series, now is the perfect time to dive in before immersing yourself in Nemesis, which is book 4. A Call to Action (and a Huge Thank You)
As an independent publisher, I can’t stress enough how much reviews mean. Every review and rating—on Amazon, Audible, or Goodreads—makes a huge difference. It helps others discover new books to enjoy and supports my ability to keep creating. If you’ve enjoyed any of my books or audiobooks, I’d be incredibly grateful if you could take a moment to leave a review or if you’re a person who feels they don’t have much to say, a rating will do just as well.
A New Chapter in the Haunted Series
By now, you probably already know that Nemesis marks a departure from the Marco Battista Origin Trilogy (Psychosis, Haunted, and Cursed). While Marco still plays a role, this book expands the series into new, self-contained stories that push the boundaries of terror and suspense. It’s been an exciting journey to see Marco evolve—and now, I can’t wait to show you what’s next for him and the series.
With that, there’s nothing more for me to say than to thank you for your support over the years. I’m truly grateful for each and every one who has joined me (us) on this journey. Stay tuned – here and on social media – for updates on the audiobook’s release. In the meantime, I’ll leave you with the Nemesis full trailer.
Have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy and prosperous New Year!
Lots of love,
Tony
