If you’ve looked on Tony’s Instagram profile and checked out the getting hired page and followed some of the links, you will know that amongst other things, he shoots a lot of sensual photography. The reason for this is because sensual photography is some of the most downloaded of his images.
Absolutely NOT. BUT sensual photography is often ONE of THREE sets (themes) of photos per shoot. Unless you’ve been booked for a specific theme, e.g. period costume or the shoot is on location.
That depends on the theme of the shoot, on what has been added to shooting schedule for the year. It’s unlikely you will only ever shoot sensual photos. But, generally, as explained above, studio shoots will include one sensual set.
Absolutely you can. BUT keep in mind that models thrive best when they are versatile. E.g. can model in a suit, underwear, swimwear, sportswear, office, etcetera. If you only ever want to shoot wholesome family or office-wear, then you are going to be limiting your offers because most photographers (such as Tony) will opt for a model who can shoot anything and everything. That’s why it isn’t always just about a nice face, hair, beard, but it is also about a defined body. A defined body tells tony (and other bookers), “I can model your underwear, swimwear, sportswear, loungewear as well as everything else.”
Tony will ALWAYS DISCUSS A THEME FOR A SHOOT WITH YOU IN ADVANCE (and often send mood images). At that stage, you can choose to accept or reject the assignment.
But please remember that you cannot choose which parts of a booking to accept. E.g., if the booking is for a set of a man in a suit and another set of sensual photos… you cannot choose SUITS ONLY. Tony (and most bookers) will book a model who will do it all. It just makes commercial sense.
Remember, EVERY assignment you are offered will be discussed in detail with you in advance before you are booked. At that point, you can choose to accept or reject it. If you reject the assignment, it will simply be passed onto somebody else who is happy to shoot it. Imagine it a bit like an actor’s part in a movie.
For your information, ALL test shoots will include one sensual set.
However, these are normally restricted to underwear shots only.
What is IMPLIED NUDE?
IMPLIED nude is where you are naked in the studio, but the image is framed in such a way where your penis cannot be seen. E.g., it is hidden behind an object, covered by a sheet or other item. With implied nude YOUR PENIS IS NEVER SHOWN. But the audience know you are naked. They just cannot see even though they want to.
Tony Marturano DOES shoot this type of photography.
