Tis’ the Sunday of the week before the rebranding. Me? Terrifed?

Good morning, Sunday browsers.

How are you all today? I hope you’re having a lovely relaxing Sunday, languishing in your bed.

Now, I know no Sunday is complete without a post from a Different Angle about the rights and the wrongs of the world but, as you know, this author is busy preparing for a momentous event next week.

As you will have most likely gathered by now, Saturday 30th June 2012 marks a very important day as the company that I acquired back in January 2012 is undergoing a complete rebrand. We’ll be launching the new name and image at a glitzy back tie event, so things are particularly busy at the moment, pulling everything together.

Most of you attending will have guessed that it isn’t easy for me as the event is  taking place at a nearby hotel and not at Casa Bella which means that this control freak is having to deal with ‘other’ people and I have to say things are getting a bit strained between me and the events organiser. Not least because I have a tiny window in which to get in and make the place look the best it can. Yes, I’m probably their worse nightmare but I don’t really care, they’re getting paid a lot of money for this event. Besides, I did warn them and they seemed up for it. 😉

Although, I have  resigned myself to the fact that if they meet at least 75% of my expectation then it can’t be bad. In the meantime, I have a Managing Director’s speech to write, press releases to proof and a whole medley of tasks that haven’t yet even been  looked at, including battling with the merchandisers who have switched delivery dates on me and now will be delivering goods that I really need just one day before so let’s hope there isn’t a delay or we’ll be handing out kind words to  promote the new and improved brand!

So, to say that I’m feeling just a tad overwhelmed and perhaps a bit anxious would be an understatement as we also have clients attending the event. You know, just for that added bit of fun.  Hey, this is what it’s all about, isn’t it?

So, there you have it. I better get back to the planning. Hope you all have a great week and be sure to check in here next Sunday for all the latest from the event. Was it successful? Did I fluff up my lines? Did I go postal and attack one of the hotel representatives?

It’ll all be in next week’s blog so don’t miss it!
